Subject: Rouse High School Cheer Follow-Up
Bcc:
Good afternoon,
I’m the head cheer coach at Rouse High School, and our athletic coordinator shared your email with me.
First and foremost, welcome to the area and welcome to Rouse! We’re excited for your family’s move and for your daughter’s upcoming senior year.
Per the Leander ISD Cheer Handbook, we are permitted to hold only one cheer tryout each calendar year, which takes place in March. Because of this, we are unable to offer additional tryouts or make exceptions at this time.
That said, our community is fortunate to have several excellent all-star cheer gyms in the area. The one I’m most familiar with is Tumble Tech, which has a strong reputation and competitive programs. If your daughter is interested in continuing cheer outside of school, I’d be glad to help connect you with the right people there.
In addition to coaching, I also teach Graphic Design here at Rouse. My classroom is in room 6205 of the CTE/Art building, and I’d love for your daughter to stop by anytime— whether to ask questions, get settled, or just see a familiar face on campus.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I’m happy to help however I can, and we’re truly glad to have your family joining the Rouse community.
Warmly,
Coach Riggins

Subject: Cheer Tryout Packets and Announcements
Bcc:
Good afternoon,
I hope you’re doing well! My name is Channing Riggins, and I’m the Head Cheer Coach at Rouse High School. I’m reaching out to ask for your help with a few items related to our upcoming cheer tryouts.
If possible, I’d like to drop off two baskets at your office on Monday, February 3:
One basket for students to pick up tryout packets
One basket for returning completed packets
The baskets would need to remain available from Tuesday, February 4 through Tuesday, March 4. Please let me know if that works for you or if there’s anything specific I need to do to coordinate this.
I also wanted to ask if it would be possible to include our Rouse Cheer Tryout Google Classroom code (ujwm2ia) and packet pick-up information in your school announcements. This would help us reach students who may be interested in trying out but aren’t currently cheering at SMS.
For convenience, I’ve attached flyers with all of the tryout details. Please feel free to share them in whatever way works best for your campus.
Thank you so much for your support in helping us spread the word! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or additional needs from me.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Channing Riggins
